Fifth Wings is now recruiting an English Language Teacher (ELT), preferably with previous experience as an ALT to teach Preschool & Kindergarten students, Elementary School Students, and teach a few Adult classes. The location will be in the GUNMA area for the school year JUNE 1st 2020 – May 31st, 2021 with a chance to renew for an additional year at the end of the contract. Canada, The UK, Australia, New Zealand, USA or from a country of which the first language is English or that lists English amonst its official
languages and must have a command of English equivalent to that of a native speaker.
CONTRACT PERIOD: Start JUNE 1st 2020 – MAY 31st, 2021. 5 days work week. Friday & Sunday are off days.
SALARY: ¥230,000 – ¥250,000 / month depending on experience. Salary to be paid on the 15th of each month.
RESIDENCE: Accommodation will be found for the applicant. No key money, modern tidy apartment. The teacher pays a monthly rent of ¥52000 – ¥55,000 plus utilities, gas, and power. FURNITURE: washing machine, refrigerator, microwave, and futon provided.
WORKING HOURS: The Schedule will vary during the week so please be flexible and openminded. Classes range between 45 minutes – 50 minutes (including 10 minutes break). The schedule is scattered throughout the day with plenty of breaks.
TYPE OF WORK: Teach English to preschool, kindergarten kids, elementary kids, and adults.
Experience with children is essential. Ability to relate to and have fun with children. Participate in and assist with extra-curricular activities. Assist with other duties specified by the supervisor or the school principal at your workplace. You will enrich the lives of children by sharing your knowledge of English and communication skills and giving insights into other cultures. Your job would be two-fold: language instructor and cultural ambassador. These two aspects are inseparable, and you, as a successful ELT – English Teacher, will become an expert in both. You can expect to teach classes on your own, with a Japanese teacher present to help manage the classroom.
REQUIRED BA/BS: TESL/TEFL/CELTA or teaching certification. Applicants must be of sound mental and physical health. Applicants must not have a criminal record.
VISA: Applicant required to reside in Japan. Full sponsorship available to the applicant.
HOLIDAYS: All Japanese Calendar holidays are paid.
